Beau - Three Months

Wow, Beau is 3 months old today.  I know all parents say this, but it is going by so fast.  Beau gets easier and easier every single day.  He is getting to be such a happy little person.  He loves to watch Mommy and occasionally big brother and dad.  He patiently waits all day for eye contact so he can break out his huge grin.  He also will growl just to get us to smile at him.  He giggles.  He coos.  He loves to keep his hands in his mouth.  He loves to sit in his exersaucer. He loves his diaper changed.  He loves to get a bath.

We started swaddling at night (he hated swaddling when he was first born) and now he goes straight to sleep.  He and Sawyer are now sleeping in the same room.  Beau is such a happy, easy going baby now.  I am not ashamed to say that I am glad the new born stage is over.

I like to call this kid dimples.  He has one on each cheek, nose, chin, and hundreds on the booty.

Snow Days

We have had a few snow storms.  This mama does not handle cabin fever very well and having a newborn has not helped the situation.  I have been trying to be creative in keeping us entertained.

Gingerbread house in January?  We had the stuff left over from Christmas and put it to use.
Sawyer took this picture all by himself of his masterpiece.  I love seeing the world from his perspective.
I looked away from the ginerbread house for just a minute and this is what happened.  Boys will be boys.
Beau watching snowflakes.  This is about all the winter activities he is allowed to participate in.
Hot bubble baths are always a good way to spend the afternoon.
Clint took Sawyer out in the peak of "Blizzard 2011".  Sawyer has not wanted to go sledding since then.  I wonder why?

Snow ice cream.
Another way to burn energy.  Jump in a pile of pillows.  He counts to thwee everytime.  It is the cutest thing ever.

Lake Weekend

I looove weekend getaways and decided we needed to get out of town.  Of course we chose the most beautiful weekend all winter and headed to the lake.  It was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.  We hiked, explored, fished, read books, watched movies, slept, and ate simple, healthy meals (That was stupid on my part.  You are suppose to eat junk at the lake or you go crazy craving it.)

Notice the matching camo pants.  Sawyer insists on matching his daddy and camo is their favorite.

We were shocked when Heidi got her lazy butt off the couch and went swimming.
This is Biff who time traveled from the 80s in his purple polo sweats with collar up.  Oh wait,  just a bad hand-me-down situation.

Cowabunga Night!

After hours of Michelangelo taking down Shredder in various locations of our house (which typically ends in a wrestling match), Clint decided it was time for official Cowabunga night.  We ordered pizza, played turtles, and stayed up late watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.  Sawyer loved it.  He was pretty hyper all night and I realized that I no longer have a toddler on my hands but a boy. Whoa.

Beau's Two Month Check-up

A while back I took Beau in for his two month appointment.  He weighed 15 lbs 7 oz!  He was waaay off the chart.  He was 24" in length which put him in the 90 %.  I knew he was big, but oh my.  Sawyer was big at two months and only weighed 13 lbs 11 oz.  At 2.5 month he is pretty much out of all 3-6 month clothes and we are moving on to 6-9 months.  This is what a 15.5 pound wobbly chunk of love looks like.
