Another month has flown by. Here are some of the highlights:
Spiderman is ever present in our house now. Once the mask comes on, Sawyer is transformed into a web throwing, wrestling superhero.
Clint and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful weekend. We got a room at the Price Tower in marvolous downtown Bartlesville. Clint's parents watched the boys for us. It was great to have a getaway without the headache of travel. We still feel like newlyweds after seven long years.
We ventured to the new children's museum in Stillwater twice. Grammy and Grandpa got us annual passes! The boys love it!
Clint and I keep a book on tape going in the car. Lately we have been listening to books about American history. Yes, we are so cool that a good time for us is to grab Starbucks and listen to our history books on tape. When we heard the Nina and Pinta replicas were in Muskogee we couldn't pass up the opportunity to check it out.

Thanksgiving 2011
We had a great Thanksgiving this year. It is so wonderful to have family close by. We started the gorge-fest at Grammy and Grandpa's house. Everything was delicious. Because Uncle A couldn't make it this year, we had a turkey head in his place. We headed to Arkansas for Thanksgiving on Sunday. The food was once again delicious and the kids had so much fun playing together. Unfortunately both of our cameras weren't working while we were in Arkansas. Someday I'll get pictures. It was just a little crazy with 12+ kids (9 of the kids being 3 or under) in the house. This year we also did a "Thankful Jar" where we wrote down what we were thankful for every night. It was so cute so see Sawyer's response. Some of my favorites were tortillas (appeared several times), Huggie, Spiderman, Beau (also a popular one), milk, and blankie.

Beau's First Birthday Party(s)
We kept it pretty simple for Beau's first birthday celebrations. My parents got all the family members tickets to Yo Gabba Gabba live in Tulsa. I totally hijacked the trip from Meme and Kimbo and turned it into Beau's birthday party. We ate dinner at The Spaghetti Wharehouse beforehand and had cupcakes, presents, and party favors. It was perfect because we were loud and messy and had a whole room to ourselves (oh and I didn't have to pay for anything -- thanks Meme and Kimbo).
The show was AWESOME if you were three. The kids loved it, and with all the confetti, leaves, and snow falling from the sky, the adults had a good time too.
On Beau's actual birthday we kept up with tradition and got pizza. It is also Beau's favorite food. The kid can eat like 2-4 large slices all by himself. It is a sight to see. Don't get between an Aichele boy and his pizza. After pizza we had cupcakes and presents. Sawyer was a great little helper when it came to opening Beau's presents. I think he has a future in quality control because he has since confiscated all the presents.
At the end of birthday week we had a little party for Beau at Grammy and Grandpa's house. Beau was in hog heaven to get that much cake in one week!
Beau - Twelve Months
Ahh sweet Beau. He turned one, ONE, on November 10th. This child brings so much happiness to our lives. He just seems to glow with glee. He is so alert and in-tune with our world. He loves a good cuddle. He chatters constantly. And when he smiles, there are dimples. Not one, not two, but four. The cheeks, the chin, and the nose. And then the eyes twinkle. He is rarely fussy or whiny (which is a real treat). He is super easy to put down for sleep, and eats everything in sight. He does this funny thing with his tongue and head just to make us laugh. The world definitely became a brighter place November 10, 2010.
Now little Beau is more of a dare devil. He is incredibly determined and the "redirecting" method doesn't really work. He also seems to have no respect for authority at this age. If disciplining does happen, he thinks its a game. His favorite things are his dad, his blankie, and his brother. Oh and tupperware lids. Don't know why. He talks a lot and our favorite is"uh oh" which sounds more like "cough oh". He also says "Thank You" at the appropriate time. Other words are MaMa, DaDa, Bye Bye, Bubba, Dog, Bath, Mo (for more), and hi. He knows the baby sign for all done, more, and paci (which he made up himself). Beau is extremely extremely effective at communicating. If I can't figure our what he wants he screams at the top of his lungs till I do. This normally involves me running around like a madman trying to figure it out. He is still very loud. But he always wants something. He rarely just cries or whines.
By his first birthday he was taking a few steps, but still relying mostly on crawling. He is a big boy. He had been pretty chubby (ok, extremely chubby) until recently and now he is getting tall. He is now off the charts in height (32 1/4") and 90th percentile for weight (26 lbs 11 oz). Clint and I are in awe that we get to be the ones to raise such a happy, brilliant, amazing little person.

October
October flew by, but we definitely enjoyed the weather. Sawyer's imaginary friend, Huggie, went everywhere with us this month. Clint had to travel to Montana for work and got to spend the weekend with one of his best friends in Bozeman, Josh. Beau and Sawyer started to pretty much be inseparable. I am so grateful that my boys love each other so much and treat each other so well (so far!)
