Beau - Seven Months Old

Clint and I are sitting here talking tonight about how we cannot believe our happy baby is seven months old.  We can't think of any other word to describe Beau in our life other than "perfect".  Absolutely perfect.  Ok, we know the truth, we haven't forgotten the hours of screaming, and in fact we are totally used to his cries that can be heard throughout the entire municipality, but we are having so much fun with Beau.

Beau's sixth full month was a busy one.  In the first week he started solids, got his first teeth and starting sitting up on his own indefinitely.  He quickly progressed to more advanced skills like his first road trip, camp out, pulling up on his knees and rocking, first dip in a pool, first dip in the lake and first boat ride.  He ended the month with his first airplane ride, international trip, first beach and first cookie.

Ah sweet, happy, fat, cuddly "Bean Bag".

My baby still likes to be swaddled.

These boys are really starting to play together.

May Synopsis

May was a busy month for us.  We got to see Uncle A in Stillwater, went on a road trip, and ended up spending Memorial Day weekend at the lake.  I didn't get many pictures this month, my hands always seem full.  But here are a few.
Somehow I got tricked into going fishing on Mothers Day.  This was the only picture from the day because immediately after this picture was taken Sawyer got sick all over himself.  The day just went downhill after that.

We get to be outside a lot now.  Sawyer has to dress and undress himself now.  He will only wear his "basketball shorts" or "swimsuit".  He pretty much wears the same thing all the time.

Sawyer likes to ride his bike down the driveway, to the park, and back.

We have been eating a lot from our garden.

Sawyer showing off his muscles.  He likes to say "I got muscles."

These boys are crazy about each other (right now).

This is Clint's cabbage patch kid.  He loves cabbage and has enjoyed growing it this year.

Campout Weekend

Clint and I love road trips.  I now think our boys feel the same way.  We packed our bags and headed to Ali's college graduation in Russelville, AR from Arkansas Tech.   After the graduation we decided to seize the opportunity to go camping in the beautiful Ozarks.  It was a cold weekend for May, but we camped out at Shores Lake Campground in the Ozark national forest.

My wedding gift to Clint was a two man tent.  We have used it a ton over the years.  I am sad to say that I think this was the last campout for it, well for a while at least.  When Clint woke up with Sawyer litterally sleeping on top of his head, he ordered us a family tent.  This was a big life defining moment for us because we had to decide between a four man and a six man.  After much discussion we decided on the . . . well we'll let you know later.

The boys did great!  Beau loves every minute of being outside so camping is perfect for him.  Sawyer did great too.  We had a wonderful time.  This road trip renewed our love for camping.
