Fall Weekend Adventures

We had a few weekend adventures this fall.  It was nice to have some free Saturdays to take day trips, and to have kids old enough to make it a blast.  The keys to our little getaways were a van with snacks and some Boxcar Children audio books downloaded.  We sure do love the Alden family!

One Saturday we went to the Oklahoma City Science museum.

There's always hiking at Lake Mcmurty on the weekends.

One Satureday we went to the Cowboy Hall of Fame and loved it!!!

Another Saturday we went to the OKC zoo.

One Saturday we ventured to the Gloss Mountains.  This is such a cool place that we have driven past many times on the way to Colorado.  So glad we finally stopped.  But this particular day, Sawyer was being ridiculously extremely difficult.  He came pretty close to ruining the experience.  The joys of children.

September Update

Here are a few random pictures from September 2014.

We celebrated Will's birthday at TS Fork.  What a fun place!

Grandparent's day at Westwood.

Beau and Paul love to find the fire hydrant's around town with eyes.  We had to stop and get a picture with one.

Taking selfies.   A childhood activity I never knew about.

Aichele Baby Boy #4!

This September we found out we were expecting our 4th boy!  We were shocked at this ''surprise''.  It took me quite a while to process that we were having another baby.  Because it was a lot for me to take in, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would give me total peace about the gender, and He did!  Fortunately this has been my easiest pregnancy with hardly any symptoms.  We are happy to welcome this new brother to our family.  All four of our boys will be between 26 and 27 months apart.  It's like we planned it, but the lack of planning has been our problem.  Hah!

This picture was the gender confirmation taken at 14 weeks.  There was nooooo doubt this baby is a boy.  I think this may be the only situation that it's questionably appropriate for his privates to be on the internet.

2014 Mud U

The past year they started this awesome adventure mud race for kids at Lake Mcmurtry called Mud University.  Sawyer was finally old enough to participate.  He ran with Thomas.  They both did awesome and showed great team work.  It's a pretty tough course, but Sawyer did great!

Annual Juke Joint Jog

Grammy has been participating in the Eskimo Joe's run every year since it began (which is a very very long time).  Sawyer has started the annual tradition of participating too.  He's too fast for Grammy in the fun run so he runs with Clint.  Once again this year I pushed the stroller with Beau and Paul during the fun run.  It's always a great time!  We are always so proud to see Sawyer pushing himself so hard during the 1 mile fun run.

After the run there are free hot dogs, beer, and other activities.  Grandpa always gets his money's worth of hotdogs.  This year we got a special souvenir.  Beau got pink eye from getting his face painted.  Yeah!

August Update

Here are some pictures from August.  The first three weeks of August consisted of some dog days of summer fun.  Once school started, things got busy.
