May Update

May 2014 was a beautiful month.  Beau and Clint still love to go on bike rides.  Clint likes to take him up to OSU.

Clint got railing up on half the tree house and a climbing wall.

Clint likes to have one on one lunches with the boys.  Sawyer always chooses Eskimo Joes.  Beau always chooses Red Rock at the orange park.

My mom and I watched Julie's kids for a weekend so she and Taylor could celebrate their anniversary.  It fortunately was warm enough to swim.  The kids had a blast.  Also my Aunt's were coming through town so we got to see them as well.

End of School

The last few weeks of school are always very busy.  Beau had an art show at school and Sawyer's class did one of the last Friday assemblies.  Also Clint, Doug, and Kathy were all at graduation together with graduating students.

And then we had the best treat on the last day of school.  Joel and Katie came to visit, on a motorcycle ride from Denver on their way to Florida.  We had a great time visiting and a breakfast picnic at the farm.

Sawyer's class ended school with a luau.  It was was a lot of fun and he had a great Pre-K year with Mrs. Gardner.

Mother's Day 2014

I don't remember anything particularly special about Mother's Day this year, except I did get to do what I do every other day of the year, be with my boys.  I believe I got a grill, that I later got as a birthday present, that finally showed up in November.  But it was worth the wait.  We did have a wonderful hike at Lake McMurtry on Mother's day.  I am so thankful for all these boys and their father.  They make my life so amazing it is shocking.  I am also so thankful for my own mother and mother-in-law and sisters who are much more amazing moms than me and teach me so much.  PS I wasn't even around for Father's Day so I guess it was fair.

Spring Fried Chicken Picnic

Every spring we like to have a "Fried Chicken Picnic".  This year we went to Theta pond.  It was a glorious evening and such a happy night.  After our picnic at Theta pond we went to a outdoor concert at the botanical gardens and then an outdoor concert downtown.  Spring can be wonderful.

T-Ball 2014

We finally entered the world of organized sports with Sawyer playing t-ball this spring.  He was on the Blue Falcons.  Clint was one of the assistant coaches.  It was a great team made up of great families.  Our neighbors boys were on the team and several other boys from school.  Sawyer was one of the younger boys but still did great.  He improved a lot over the season and had a very good attitude about the game. He also picked up the rules of baseball pretty quickly (he had great coaches) and only ran to 3rd base once instead of 1st after hitting the ball.

Uncle A and Carolyn were in town for the last game.  Coach Morgan let Sawyer play pitcher for the final inning since his Uncle A was watching!

After the last game we all celebrated with OrangeLeaf.  We were so proud of Sawyer and Coach Dad.  It was a great experience and a lot of fun.  I hope I can say that about all the sports watching I'll be doing over the next 18 years.
