Paul is ONE!

Paul turned one on January 9th!  Truthfully, as of his first birthday it hasn't gotten much easier.  He will not leave my side or Clint's.  But he expects to be entertained the entire time.  It is exhausting.  He is napping more regularly most days.  We still have some hard days where he won't nap at all.  He still fusses a lot, but it seems it is just all part of his very exuberant personality.  We can't resist him even though he does wear us out.  He is adorable, loving, hilarious.  He is brilliant and so affectionate.  He gives kisses, hugs, pats.  He says Mm mm, Dada, ball, dog, hi, by, ni ni.  When he sees a dog or a ball in a book he points it out and says the word for it.  He points at everything and goes "huh".  He has entire conversations in his loud huhs.  Speaking of, this child is loud.  He is always making noises even when he falls asleep.  He has done that since the day he was born.

I am still nursing and intend to through flu season.   Right now it is one of the only ways to get him to sleep.  He still is swaddled.  Without the swaddle there is no hope of him staying asleep long.  He also loves his blankies.  He loves my infant swaddling blankets made by my great grandmother.  It is sweet that he is obsessed with blankets made by his great great grandmother.

He stands but is not taking steps yet.  He has eight teeth.  He is determined and will try something new until he masters it.  He figures so much out and is just a joy to watch.  His favorite food is broccoli.  He goes crazy over it.

Beau is still hilarious and loveable as always.  He loves to tell us secrets.  They are always either "I love you." or "Poo Poo Pants."  You never know which one you will get.  Both boys also like to make up jokes.  Sawyer's are pretty good.  Here's an example.

"What is a submarine's favorite sandwich? A Sub."

Here's an example of a joke by Beau. "Knock Knock. (all Beau jokes begin with knock knock) What did the submarine say to the sandwich? Sandwich!" or "What did the submarine say to the sandwich?  Doodee."  There is no point, but we all can't stop laughing.

Sawyer is wonderful most of the time and very grumpy the rest.  He loves his clothes.  He loves his brothers and shows so much love to them.
