Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend.  Clint took a few days off so we had a wonderful four days to hang out!

We started the weekend with some Easter crafts.

Sawyer is showing off his Easter ornament.

We went to the zoo on Friday with Grammy and Grandpa.  Beau had a blast!  He loved riding in the stroller and watching everyone.

We had to take the train because Thomas is soooo popular in our household right now.

Beau enjoyed the train ride too.

Then we found the zebras because they are Sawyer's favorite animals right now.

For dinner on Good Friday we had Hot Cross Buns and read the Passion story from Sawyer's bible.

Then Clint and I threw caution to the wind and went on a late night fishing trip.  Sawyer is kissing a fish.

For having such a busy day he did great!

My fishermen.

On Saturday we dyed eggs.  Beau just watched.

This was Sawyer's camo egg he made for his daddy.

Off course not all the eggs made it to Easter Sunday.

Saturday night Sawyer and Beau opened their baskets from Grammy and Grandpa.

On Easter Sunday all Sawyer cared about was the chocolate.

"I ate the bunny."

Once the toddler consumed too much chocolate, the pictures kind of stopped.  This mama had her hands full trying to prevent a sugar meltdown.  We went to church and had lunch with our small group.  Here are some pictures of some of the boys Easter loot.

Here is the "toxic" sugar.  The Easter bunny who came to our house did not bring that much chocolate (instead our eggs had fishing hooks and firecrackers -- that was well thought out), but somehow we ended up with a ton of candy.

After the boys woke up from naps, we had to test out the toys.

Beau and I watched from Beau's favorite spot, the porch swing.
I didn't get a good Easter picture of the boys on Easter Sunday, but you get the idea.
