During the week my mom got a room at the Wyndam in Tulsa which has a fantastic pool for kids. She payed for the room simply so we could use the pool. The kids loved playing with their cousins for the day. No one stayed the night, but we did end the afternoon with a pizza party in the room.
We ended spring break with a little road trip to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife refuge. We spent the day hiking then ended up in Medicine Park, OK for dinner. It is such a quirky town! The day was gorgeous and the boys even ended up swimming in a creek. Beau actually fell in with his clothes on and we had to let things dry out a bit before we could continue hiking. The hiking was beautiful and we found a waterfall much to Beau's delight. I actually stepped on a snake which gave me quite a scare.
We spent the night in Moore Oklahoma where the boys got to swim at the hotel. We then went to the Oklahoma Museum of Natural Science in Norman next day. The highlight of the museum tour was when Sawyer found a fossilized buffalo tooth in a display. This was exciting for us because GG had given Sawyer a tooth that was identical to the one at the museum. We now know that Sawyer has a fossilized buffalo tooth at home.
