Paul Two Month

Paul turned two months old on March 9th.  Paul still sleeps a lot.  He is officially smiling.  He loves Beau but he's not so sure about Sawyer.  Mainly because Beau is always right in Paul's face.  Sawyer does always hold Paul's hand in the car and give him his paci.  It really seems to calm Paul down.   He just wants his mommy this month.  He wants to be cuddled at night when he sleeps and does not like to sleep on his back.  Overall he is super easy, but by the end of his second month, this mama was ready for better sleep habits at night.  He goes for long stretches at night once he goes to sleep, but is takes a little work to get him settled down for the night.  He hated the swaddler this month, but after a few weeks of free arms, he liked it again.  He loves eye contact, smiling, and diaper changes (he hates to be dirty).  He is easy and perfect.

At his two month appointment he was 15lbs 4 oz and 23.5 inches long.  For comparison sake, Beau was 15 lbs 7 oz and 24 inches long and Sawyer was 13 lbs 11 oz.

 

This month Beau got sick again.  We were able to get through it without going on another round of antibiotics.  He has been hilarious and keeps us entertained all through dinner by making funny faces.  He has perfect comedic timing so we are looking forward to years of him making us laugh.  He has become obsessed with books as well.  He definitely prefers books targeted to two year old though.

Sawyer continues to be the big brother.  He is really into his treasures right now.  He has two treasure chest that special things get put into.  They are quite interesting collections.  He also has a collection of bones.  We call him Nature Boy because when he is outside he just relaxes so much and loves it.  He finds all kinds of interesting stuff on our hikes.  I also love it when he tells stories right now.  He gets a sing song voice and circles his finger in the air.  He has started telling me a play by play of what happened at school.  I may not listen to the 30 minutes of detail he gives, but his sweet voice just makes my heart happy.
