First Day of School 2013

Sawyer's first day of school was on Tuesday, August 20th, just one day after his birthday.  Sawyer started public school Pre-K.  He is only going until 10:55 in the morning (the only one in his class half day).  He has a wonderful teacher and aide, Mrs. Gardner and Miss Ashley.  He also has two good friends and neighbors in his class.  The half day schedule kind of kills me, but it is so worth to have the precious time in the afternoon to play legos and read books while the other kids are napping.

We brought cupcakes to celebrate Sawyer's birthday on the first day of class.  I'm not exactly the most enthusiastic classroom mom, but it doesn't matter because Grammy volunteers once a week in Sawyer's classroom.  It has been wonderful for us to have her so involved, but I think it is a little intimidating to some of the teachers since she is the expert.  The kids love her and shout "Grammy's here" when she comes.  Hah!

Beau missed his first day because he was a little sick, but made it on Thursday.  He just goes Tues and Thurs mornings to school.  He has great teachers, Mrs. Vicki and Mrs. Kelly.  But more importantly his very best friend is in his class again this year, Logan.  Beau loves school.
