Sawyer's Birthday - FIVE!

Sawyer turned five on August 19th.  We had a few weeks of celebrating.  On August 18th we went to dinner at Kyoto's with Grammy and Grandpa.  We then came home for cake and presents.  Sawyer got a lot of legos and clothes, his two favorite things.

Dad and Grammy had their first day of their semester on Monday, Sawyer's actual birthday,  so we kept it pretty simple.  We had a birthday lunch at Red Lobster.  The night of his birthday we had a back to school neighborhood water balloon fight and ice cream sundaes.  We even had a pie in the face.  We had a blast and have the best neighbors!

Someone got caught stealing the sprinkles.  I guess it was his birthday.

A few weeks after Sawyer's birthday we had party with Jack at Meme's pool.  We swam, ate, and opened gifts.  Of course it was a spiderman themed party.  It was a lot of fun!

The baby cousins.  Paul's going to have some beautiful girls to play with as he gets older.

Catching lizards.  These two always have a great time together.

Sawyer is such a loving and loved child.  He is so kind, intentional, smart, and attentive.  Nothing gets past this kid.  He helps his brothers and his mom and dad.  He still loves to read, listen to audio books, hear about history, color, draw, play outside with his friends, play with legos, watch cartoons, ride his bike and just be silly with Beau.   He still has trouble showing affection, but he gets smothered in hugs and kisses to make up for it.  His love language definitely appears to be gifts.  He loves "treasures" aka trinkets, and takes special care of them all.  He remembers EVERYTHING and tries so hard in school.  We are soooo proud of our Buckskin/Angel/Sawyer.
