Paul - Eight Months

Paul turned eight months on September 9th.  I cannot believe he is getting so old and it is not getting easier.  Paul is either super happy or pissed off (excuse my french).  He spent most of the month not napping.  I put him down at the normal times (9:00, 1:00, and 5:00) for a seven month old, but most days he only sleeps 5-10 minutes.  As he got closer to eight months old he started sleeping a little more.  He does go down about 7:15 at night and sleeps until 7:30 the next morning with one, sometimes two feedings in the super early morning.

He is a super happy baby, but not a content baby.  He can entertain himself for about two minutes at a time.  Otherwise he wants someone messing with him and yells until he gets his way, then he is super happy and hysterical.  It is exhausting.  He loves, loves, loves his daddy.  If Clint walks through the door and doesn't immediately love on him, he screams until he does.  He still will only go to Clint or myself.  He laughs hysterically at his brothers and wants to join in the fun.  He's starting to roll around on the floor to get what he wants.  He loves peak-a-boo and dropping toys and someone picking them up.

This kid is bright.  He gets everything.  He already says mama and dada a little.  Meme was holding him and he was fine, then she said "where's the mama?" and he went hysterical at her.  I was loading the car outside and ran panicking because I thought something was seriously wrong.  He will sing along, try to clap, and copy a wave.  He also loves bathtime and gettin ready for bed time.  After bath, he gets super hyper and will roll like crazy around the bed.  Everyone thinks he is so mellow, because he is in public, but at home he can act wild.

We are all crazy about this loud, loving, spoiled creature.

Beau has been hilarious and fun again this month.  He is all about being naked now that he is in big boy underwear.  He is constantly stripping down.  Beau this month has been going through a phase where he wants Clint to feed him every meal.  He also gets soooo excited when any of us come home.  He loves his friends and showing us his "fricks" (tricks).  He is a loyal child with his priorities in life being Daddy, OSU blankie, paci, Sawyer, 4-wheeler, Baby "Tall", and Mommy in that order.  His OSU blankie has a hole between the layers and he spends most of his day inside of his blanket.  Sawyer now gets in there too and they roll around together.  He really is loving to read books.  He is loving school and especially his friends Logan, Henry, and Isabel.  He is also so affectionate and hugging.  Beau has a super compassionate nature and it is starting to show more and more as he gets older.  He still has Beauments and cries for Daddy a lot, but his bad fits are very short lived.

Sawyer is thriving in Pre-K.  He is so eager to learn this year.  He loves his classmates and telling us every day who ended up in the "thinking spot".  He has so many friends at school, we are very proud of him.  His best friend at school is a little girl name Jaci who lives down the street.  In some things he can be very determined, but in other things he is really laid back.  He is such an obedient mellow child, but also knows how to push his daddy's buttons.  He loves playing with legos and gets better every day.  He gets pretty run down by the end of the day with school and has had more emotional outburst, but he never breaks a rule.  He still loves his treasures and is protective of them.  He wants to ride his bike all the time.  He finally dropped his nap on most days.  If he is really tired I still make him take one.  He spends an hour each afternoon reading and playing with legos.  After that he is on me, talking and wanting to play.
