End of School - May 2013

The boys had a great school year.  Sawyer got a perfect report on his pre-K "report card".  Excellent in everything.  His teachers called him "Mr. Steady".  They said he is very kind and a wonderful kid.  They also called him the class sloth (something I call him in my head) because he moves soooo slowly.  He is so busy taking stuff in and observing that he is always the last to do anything.  But he could care less. 

The end of school year started with an art show at Sawyer and Beau's school.  It was very cute. My favorite was listed on Beau's art profile: When I grow up I want to be . . . "a grown up".  So cute from a two year old.  The boys also showed us where they like to build their camp fires on the play ground.  That had afternoon recess at the same time and always stayed together.

 Sawyer only went to Pre-K two days a week this past year.  Next school year (fall 2013) he is going to do Pre-K at the public school 5 days a week (but only half days because this mama wants to still be his primary influence).  This was the first year the First United Methodist Church had a Pre-K in addition to Preschool.  Sawyer's class was great with excellent parents.  They had a little graduation for the class.  Clint was out of town, but Sawyer still had support from his brothers, grandparents, and Aunt JuJu.  Sawyer's favorite part was that they left to the song Gangon style.  His teachers were Miss Melanie, Miss Heidi and Miss Amanda.

Beau had a best friend at school and they were inseparable.  His name is Logan and we always hear about Logan.  Logan also has two brothers Sawyer and Paul's age so I guess he and Beau were destined.  Beau's teachers, Miss Barb and Miss Zenya, would text us pictures of the two because they were so precious together.  Beau and Logan are actually in class together again this year and once again are best friends.

On Sawyer's last day of Pre-K, the class had a feild trip to a local ranch.  It rained cats and dogs that day, but fortunately one of the mom's hired a traveling exotic petting zoo to come out.  Sawyer was so gentle and respectful with all the exotic animals.

We wrapped up the last day of school with Orange Leaf.  It was a great school year and I feel blessed with the boys teachers and classmates.
